The Eastern Grey Kangaroo Macropus giganteus inhabits most of eastern Australia and can be seen around the outskirts of Bendigo.
	This young female was rescued from the pouch of its mother which had been killed when hit by a car.
	When it is older the kangaroo will be allowed to join others in the bush.
	The kangaroo has been called Bella, short for Bellata, one of many Aboriginal names for kangaroos.
